September Newsletter 2016
Herewith our September Newsletter. It contains a profile of Heike Zitzer, some funny images of animals caught by our camera traps and a fantastic special offer. Enjoy.
Update: Elephant Twins
The twins were first sighted in November last year and cause for much excitement. Our White Elephant rangers' first sighting of them was in November on the north/eastern section of Pongola Game Reserve. The twins have to take many little steps to keep up with their Mother, Curve and the rest of the Orphan herd, but they are keeping up and doing well!
Vulture Count and Awareness Day
Every year on the first Saturday of September White Elephant takes part in the Vulture Count Day that was initiated by Ezemvelo KwaZulu-Natal Wildlife in 2003.
The Vulture Awareness Day takes place on the same day worldwide and bird enthusiasts are encouraged to take part in helping to conserve this important species!
All effort goes into the conservation and therefore the preservation of our vulture population species as they are an integral part of our ecosystem.
